Volunteer Options

Household Pantry:

 Tuesday Morning Help

  • From 9:00 am until 12:00 pm
  • Help clients shop and take things to their cars
  • Three volunteers needed

 Saturday Morning Help

  • From 9:00 am until 12:00 pm
  • Help clients shop and help them to their cars
  • Three needed

 Wednesday Evening Help

  • From 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm
  • Help clients shop and help them to their cars
  • Three needed

Buddy Bag:

Packing – when the 2023-2024 school year begins

  • Tuesday mornings 10:00 am until Noon
  • 10 Needed

Thursday Morning School Deliveries

  • Pick up totes are warehouse at 9:00 am
  • Deliver to Lake Street, Solon Robinson and Eisenhower Elementary Schools in Crown Point
  • Return empty totes to warehouse
  • 2 people and one large vehicle needed for Solon Robinson.
  • 1 person and one medium size car for Lake Street and Eisenhower.

Friday Morning School Deliveries

  • Pick up totes at warehouse at 9:00 am
  • Deliver totes to Jane Ball and Red Cedars Elementary Schools in Cedar Lake
  • 2 people and large vehicle needed
  • Drop off totes at schools and retrieve empty totes from the previous week
  • Pick up totes at warehouse at 9:00 am
  • Deliver totes to Protsman, Bibich, Watson, Piefer, Kolling and Homan – all Lake Central Schools – Drop off totes at schools, empty totes and return empty totes to warehouse

Friday Afternoon School Deliveries

  • Pick up totes at warehouse at 1:00 pm
  • Deliver to Timothy Ball Elementary School in Crown Point
  • Deliver to MacArthur Elementary School in Cedar Lake
  • 3 large vehicles needed; 4 to 6 people needed
  • Empty totes and return to warehouse

Ladle of Love:

First and Third Saturdays of the month from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm-

First and third Friday dessert makers for Ladle of Love.

  • Two or three needed
  • Bring desserts to warehouse Friday mornings between 9 and 11

First and third Saturdays set up and serve

  • Four needed
  • From 9:00 am until Noon

First and third Saturdays serve and clean up

  • Four needed
  • From Noon until 1:30
