Giving Tuesday

As we begin our Giving Tuesday campaign, we reflect on all that we have to be grateful for. The comforts of home. The love of family and friends. The security of employment. The support of our community.

We also think of those who are not as fortunate. Those who struggle day to day to make ends meet. And we look for ways to help. Opportunities are all around us. On the television, the radio, billboards and in our mailboxes and inboxes.

As you filter through the many requests, we hope that you will consider giving some of your support to Community Help Network. We are home to the Buddy Bags Program which provides weekend food for food insecure students throughout south lake county. To date we serve nearly 750 students each week of the school year.

Our Household Pantry is currently serving 100 low-income families per month. This is nearly a threefold increase since beginning the program in January of 2021. And it is continuing to grow.

Our Ladle of Love bi-monthly free luncheon has also grown and is being enjoyed by over fifty people on the first and third Saturdays of the month. We have been joined by Tavern on Main, Full Plate Catering and Great Harvest Bread Company in providing some amazing food. Sometimes we have live entertainment, guests can win door prizes and we always have fun.

We welcome anyone who would like to learn more about us, what we do and how you can help, to call or stop by for a tour. We would love to see you.
