It’s FINALLY back to school. After quite the month, the kids are all back in school and they could use some extra support. . Please consider donating to our Back to School Buy a Buddy Bag fundraiser. Emergency Relief
We responded to the storms with a two day Pick 5 event at our warehouse. Food, household items and school supplies were given out to our community. We were able to provide for 117 families.
Community Help Network teamed up with the City of Crown Point and distributed household supplies at their emergency relief event August 17th at Bulldog Park. We handed out 250 bags of household/cleaning supplies.
Maple Grove Landscaping
A huge thank you to Maple Grove Landscaping for revamping our flag pole area. It was overgrown and looking sad. What a transformation!

First Buddy Bag Picking Day
We kicked off the 2026/2027 school year August 31st! Thank you to all our Buddy Bag packers/stockers/delivery drivers. We are on our way to a great year!
Amazon Service Day
Amazon Merrillville/Hobart sent a wonderful group of volunteers to our warehouse this month. They packed first aid kits that will be sent out in Buddy Bags. Thanks Amazon!

Bethel Church
We are absolutely blown away by the support of Bethel Church’s VBS Mission Project. During VBS at three church locations, they were able to raise over $11,000 for our Buddy Bag program. Our board members were shocked to receive such a generous donation. Thank you Bethel Church for ensuring our local school kids will be well fed this school year.

Did you know CHN gives out over 50 packs of diapers every month? Scott’s U Save Tires hosted a diaper drive and we were the lucky recipients of their collection. These diapers are very much appreciated. Thank you Scott’s for being a continuous supporter of our organization!
